Strengthening Disability Data for Inclusive Development – NDCN Holds Training Workshop in Oshakati
The National Disability Council of Namibia (NDCN) is continuing the Disability Disaggregated Data Expansion Project through a two-day training workshop which took place at Oshandira, Oshakati in the Oshana Region on 5–6 August 2026.
The training equips participants with the knowledge and tools needed to collect accurate and reliable disability data. This data will help identify gaps, better understand the lived experiences of persons with disabilities, and support evidence-based policy and programme development.
Following the training, enumerators will begin data collection from 17 August 2026 to 17 September 2026, contributing to efforts aimed at strengthening disability data systems across Namibia.
Through this initiative, the NDCN continues to promote informed decision-making, inclusive development, and meaningful representation of persons with disabilities in the country’s development agenda in line with Objective 11 of the Revised National Policy on Disability, 2025.
