The NDCN's mandate is to monitor the implementation of the National Policy on Disability, identify potential barriers to its implementation, advise on enforcing existing legislation, comment on proposed legislation affecting people with disabilities, consult with organizations, initiate amendments, and take necessary steps to improve the situation for persons with disabilities in Namibia.

All concerns and complaints, especially for the clients in the regions must be addressed in writing and emailed to info@ndcn.com or alternatively call our switchboard at 061 22 59 13 for urgent queries.

The NDCN currently does not have the capacity to litigate and only assists with legal advice and referrals to Legal Aid or alternative legal representatives.

The NDCN does not have branches in other regions. The NDCN is currently situated in Windhoek, Khomas region.

The policy is attached as a schedule to the Act and can be found at the end of the Act.

The NDCN only offers funding/support to persons with disabilities through the various OPD’s and towards initiatives and institutions the council has formed a memorandum of understanding with.
